How many times have people said to me "I thought I already dealt with that. How come it's showing up AGAIN?"
What I know is that these hidden intersections will keep popping up along the road we travel. While we may be surprised when they do, it is of course how we respond that makes all the difference. If we have a tantrum and complain about 'what is', we keep ourselves stuck in a disempowered place. If we use a new perspective and see it as an opportunity to learn more, and perhaps on a deeper level, we open all sorts of possibility 'doors'.
I'm not saying it's always comfortable. When I approach one of these road signs I usually feel myself stiffen a bit and my eyes dart around looking for what might be hard to find. I do the same thing when stuff bubbles up that I believe I have already spread out on the table. Since I trust that what comes my way is meant for my own good, I start asking the hard questions like "What have I missed? Why now?" and "What has brought this back into the foreground at this particular time?"
Give yourself permission to embrace whatever comes along ... hidden intersections and all. You just never know what you might find when you come up over that hill.
