Sometimes people think that focusing on what we want is not realistic. "They" say that putting our attention on what we wish would happen is ignoring reality. That may be true AND there is another perspective.
If focusing on what we wish could be - better health, stronger finances, meaningful work, deeper relationships - makes us feel better and more hopeful, than we are more likely to do things that will make these things happen. Honestly, if we are in a state of positive expectation (without attachment) chances are we will see opportunities we might not have before.
I often quote Wayne Dyer saying "When you go looking for no place to park, you always find ... no ... place ... to park!" When we focus on what we don't want, that seems to be all we notice.
Today, let yourself gently remember what really matters to you. No matter how challenging your surroundings are, focus on love, respect, patience, compassion. You will make a difference!
