"And then the knowledge comes to me that I have space within me for a second, timeless, larger life."
R.M. Rilke
Oh, how many of us would love to wake up to that awareness. The very idea that our biggest dreams, our deepest longings, our broadest ambitions could in fact be realized in our lifetime. The possibility that yes, indeed, there is space to manifest our creativity, express ourselves in meaningful ways that make a difference. Or whatever else has been simmering as we waded through the day to day stuff of what is loosely called living.
We are in an age where talk of potential can turn to a feverish pitch. Sometimes it feels as though no one is really living their own life. And yet, to some extent, we all are. We have just held the lid down on that life to keep things 'manageable'. Then one day, and most often in mid-life, we wake up and realize that we not only have the space but the passion to live that larger life; to fulfill that mission; to finish what we started; to embrace something new and daring.
Has that day come for you? Has the knowledge of how much space you really have suddenly become real? Richard Bach says "The space for what you want is already filled with what you settled for instead." At every Women's Wisdom Retreat, someone 'wakes up' to the powerful awareness that there is still time, there is indeed space for what they have always known was the bigger life they craved.
Listen to these wise messages and then choose what you want your space to look like.
